Did you know that Daceyville is home to Australia’s first cul-de-sac or that its design is partly inspired by Parisian boulevards? Read all about this and much more in Audaciousville, a small book council has produced to mark Daceyville’s centenary.
Daceyville might be Australia’s first public housing estate, but until now very little of its history has been available to the general public. Thanks to funds made available through the Australian Government’s Your Community Heritage Program Daceyville’s unique story is now in print.
You can either pick up a copy at one of our libraries or view it online as an e-book.
